Program Overview
Year 1: Introduction to Baptism, Eucharist, and Reconciliation. Children begin to understand God’s love and the meaning of the Sacraments in their daily lives.
Year 2: Preparation for Confirmation and deeper engagement with Scripture, prayer, and parish life. Family involvement is encouraged to reinforce lessons and spiritual growth at home.
Time Commitment
Monthly classes with preparation at home
Participation in special Sacramental celebrations and parish events
Who Should Participate
OCIC is ideal for children who:
Have not yet received one or more Sacraments of Initiation
Desire to grow in their faith and understanding of the Church
Benefit from a family-supported faith journey
Family Involvement
Parents and guardians are key partners in the OCIC journey. Together, families and catechists foster a strong foundation of faith that helps children live out the Gospel in their everyday lives.
